Council contractors will be starting work on Tuesday 19 December to remove 50ha of wilding conifers (contorta and Corsican pine) on council land next to the Pukaki Airport.
The work will continue until March 2024.
Some of this work will take place on land next to the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. However, the trail will remain open and contractors will manage the work around cyclists.
